To Everything, There is a Season

So, it has been quite a while since I've posted on here. I really hate that. I wish I were disciplined enough to be a daily blogger. Maybe that will be a New Year's Resolution.

Anywho, life has been making some changes here lately, and I thought I'd share those changes with you all.

First off, my wife and I had tried to buy a house lately. It looked like everything was going to go ok, when all of a sudden the lending company we were using fell of the face of the earth. Turns out, the FBI seized them for fraud. But, we found out a lot about our credit, where we stood and what we need to do to get in our own home. It was tough and humbling, but I think if we wrap ourselves or our identity in our credit or money or whatever it may be, then we shut God up in a little box and don't allow our favor as His children to be...expressed? I have a past; a bad, irresponsible past, but God doesn't see it anymore.

Secondly, due to the fall through on getting a home of our own, we moved to a new rental home. And we LOVE it. Much easier and simpler living. It's on the outskirts of Columbus, in a little town called Hope, but we don't mind the drive at all.

Thirdly, I have enrolled into college and am a college student. I have been out of school for 7 years. Never would have thought I'd have waited this long. But, I have finally made up my mind. I am going for my Bachelors in Design Arts and Sciences. In a couple years, I'll have to focus on a certain field, and I believe I'm leaning towards Audio & Video Production. I'm super excited. I'm going to IUPUC and will graduate with a degree from IU. Sweet.

Lastly, Janan and I have had our 3rd baby and 1st girl, Emmaline Cathleen Jones. She was born December 18th, 2009 at 9:59pm. She weighed 6 lbs. and 3 oz. with a length of 18.5 in. She is absolutely GORGEOUS. She looks like her momma.

Well, thanks for reading once again. Until next time,
GOD BLESS & MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Fantasy Marketing

I was doing my nightly rituals; checking email, facebook, twitter, etc., when I came across Rob Dyrdek on Twitter. That led to me watching an episode of Fantasy Factory on MTV website (GREAT show by the way). Rob Dyrdek has a brilliant marketing/entrepreneurial mind. He finds something that we would think to be the dumbest things, well, maybe not dumb, but stuff that we wouldn't waste our time on, and turns it into profit. He had a 'motivational speaker' on this episode named Joel Bauer. Anyway, the episode is hilarious and brilliant. Check it out:

A Broken Heritage

While on Facebook today, I noticed a post by one of my cousins, and it saddened me. You see, our family has a strong, Christian heritage and this post would have sickened our great-grandfathers. How can a family that has Christian roots forsake their family's heritage? I just don't understand sometimes.

Don't get me wrong, they are 'good' people and I love them, but it just goes to show you that a status-quo can lead to a diminished faith.

His post said "Dilema: Savannah learned the Adam and Eve story in school yesterday. Needless to say I don't believe in this story, however, I was taught it and I want her to make her own choices. But I also want her choices to be informed ones....what to do."

It's funny how he wants her to make a choice that is an 'informed one', but he doesn't want her making a choice being informed of our very creation.

I pray my family returns to the FAITH of their heritage.

I've Been WRONG Before

On my last post, I was talking about marketing and such, and I came across this video. He's a pretty cool guy who explains social networking as marketing. So, I thought I'd share it with you. Hope you enjoy!

Marketing: The Difference between LIFE or DEATH

So, as you know, I started designing my own Tee's and started an online store to sell them. The site has been up for almost a week and it's been rough. It's funny how you can have this GREAT idea, and other people will agree it's a GREAT idea, but a week later it might not seem like such a GREAT idea. Don't get me wrong now, I do think it's a GREAT idea. And I plan on continuing just for the simple fact that I want to wear my clothes. But I've realized that MARKETING is the life source of your idea, product, business...

So, where to begin? That seems to be the MILLION dollar question. So far, I've posted it daily on Facebook and Twitter, and I've advertised here on my blog. But that doesn't seem to be getting it. So I've decided to study Marketing and find out how to and where to. I've come up with some great resources and have talked to a few marketing companies. You would not believe how much marketing can cost. So after studying some more, I found this term; guerrilla marketing. Creative, low cost marketing options. Now that seems more like it.

I still have 9 days left of the pre-order for my first shirt, the King of King's Tee. So I plan on getting the word out as much as I can. But I plan on putting a lot of effort into the second shirt, Bondage Breaker.

If you haven't ordered your shirt yet, go to: www.crucifixionclothingco.com and order yours!! And spread the word!! The BEST form of marketing is a WARM market; the people we interact with on a daily basis. I apprecaite your help and support. God Bless.

Rick Pino Interview

Oh, I forgot to tell you all that after the service last night, we got to interview Rick Pino for STM News! Below is this weeks STM News with the Rick Pino segment.

P.S. Rick Pino is adamant about people coming to a worship service for the purpose of worship and not to see Rick Pino. But he does something that really portrays this message. I've heard many artists say this, but they don't make themselves available to the people. Rick does. He doesn't make himself a 'star'. If he were to not be so personable, it would be hard to portray Christ rather than himself. I admire this in Rick because there truly isn't anything different than him and me and you. The only GOOD thing in anything or anyone is Christ.

STM News | Rick Pino Interview | Week 1 | September 2009 from David Adams on Vimeo.

Rick Pino

Hey everyone! We had another great night of worship at The Final Push conference with Rick Pino and Fire Rain Ministries. The pastor of the church, Pastor Mitchell Tolle, preached an awesome word as well. If you tuned in to the Live Stream, I apologize that we ended it early and for the poor quality. I didn't have a tripod with me and we didn't have a good audio signal. But I hope you got to enjoy the few minutes that you did get to see.

I pray blessings over all who ministered over the weekend and I hope we all took it home with us and apply it to our lives.

Catch us tomorrow morning at: www.strongtoweroutreach.net/STMLIVE for our worship service at 10:00am! God Bless!

You can watch what we Live Streamed from the Rick Pino concert here:

Jason Upton

We had a great time last night worshipping with Jason Upton and his crew. He is such a great song writer. He can take the simplest things in life, make a comparison to our relationship with God, pen it down as song lyrics, and then sing it with great anointing. It's been awhile since I had seen him live, and it was great to hear him once again. He ushers in a very sweet Spirit from God. A lot of people these days focus on Warfare worship, but Jason brings in the Father and takes you back to being a kid. Oh how I wish I could sit under his worship on a regular basis. I can guarantee if he is within a couple hundred miles of C-bus, I'll be there.

And don't get me wrong. I'm not making him out to be Jesus or anything. But it's nice to benefit from those who have gone places in worship that you have yet to experience.

P.S. I'm going to try and LiveStream the service tonight with Rick Pino. Check it out at the bottom of this blog. (No promises though)

The Final Push

Well, my wife and I are getting ready to leave for The Final Push in Lexington, Kentucky! I'm really pumped too. Jason Upton and Rick Pino will be leading some worship times and there will be some great preaching too! I will definitely keep my heart focused in what God has to say to me, but more than likely I'll be getting ideas for my home church (www.strongtoweroutreach.net). I'll try to take some video and put it up on here for you to check out. Have a BLESSED weekend!

Barton Damer: Media Wizard

Ya'll know that I love media of all sorts. From Graphic design, to web design, to video production and editing, to running FOH. I follow many blogs to keep up to date (although a lot of times the stuff is way over my head). But one person that blows me away is Barton Damer. He got into 'media' when he injured himself skateboarding. Now he is one of the main artist's for Worship House Media (WHM, Collide, Igniter, etc.). Anyway, be sure to follow him and his artwork. His stuff is really inspiring. Not only that, but he is using his gifts for the Kingdom of God.

Thanks Barton for your creativity and integrity!

A New Life

Guys and Gals, all I have to say is WOW!

In my last post I wrote about how I am pretty much self-employed now and how the Lord just keeps on providing. He is AWESOME and He deserves ALL the glory.

The Lord has been opening this door that is just flat out incredible. This door that He is opening is providing HEALTH to millions of people. It is providing personal FREEDOM; whether it be financial, time, etc. And He is doing this all through something that He created to begin with. Let me tell you, GOD deserves the glory.

I just want to share a little testimony. I have always felt like that I wanted to be full time in the ministry. I even quit a NICE job to go to Conversion School of Ministry. But I never knew exactly how the Lord would open a door for me to be able to actually do full time ministry. The church where I serve isn't exactly at a point to start hiring people, and this was kind of frustrating. I was stuck in a factory and knew that isn't where I was supposed to be. But NOW, He is opening a door to where I can be AVAILABLE any time to the ministry, but without the burden of another salary on my church. And not only that, this door He is opening IS a ministry in itself. It's all about helping others. Giving people better health and freedom. And in the broad aspect of it all, it shows ONLY the glory of God.

I'm VERY excited about this opportunity and I refuse to let it pass me up for the fear of the unknown. If you too are interested, make it a point to get ahold of me and we'll talk. Do you or someone you know need better health? Would you or someone you know like to have financial freedom? Would you or someone you know like to have more time to spend with family and friends?

You MUST contact myself, David Jones and learn about a ONCE IN A LIFETIME opportunity.

God Bless you!

NEW WEBSITE!!

Hello Everyone!! I have been so busy in the past couple weeks, it's good to be able to blog again. In the past few weeks I have become self-employed and the Lord has just blessed my family tremendously. I have my feet wet in a few different things to provide income, but my dream and desire is to be an entrepreneur and have the freedom that I desire. Not just to be able to do what I want, but to be able to spend more time in ministry and be available to my Leaders and of course, God.

I have just launched my business website, AND it is still under MUCH construction. But I plan to have it up and going in the next few weeks. Feel free to stop by and visit: www.jonesmediaanddesign.com.

If I can be of any help to anyone, give me a shout at:

My Thoughts on the Econonmy

Maybe I've lived in such poverty that I've not noticed it, but I believe it is all a HOAX. A made up distress of America so that Super-bama can save the nation. If everyone would just shut off the TV, I believe life would just go on.

Well, for me it would.

Just my thoughts.

The Bride of Christ part 2

Today we're gonna move forward a little bit in Song of Solomon. But first I want to throw in a little plug. Last night at church, my step-father, who is the Associate Pastor of our church, preached an awesome message on The Bride of Christ. At the bottom of this page under Strong Tower Ministries Podcast, you can listen to it. It is titled "Unsolved Mysteries".

We left off at Chapter 1 vs 2. So today we'll pick up with vs 3.

Song of Songs 1:3 "Because of the fragrance of your good ointments, Your name is ointment poured forth; Therefore the virgins love you."

I really want us to understand that this is Jesus Christ and us, the Bride. This verse just reiterates that fact. The name CHRIST means "anointed one". The Bride says here that "your name is ointment poured forth". When they anointed Kings in the OT, they poured ointment over their heads. She was recognizing Him as the King and as the ANOINTED ONE.

This book is Jesus Christ and the Bride.

The virgins in this verse are those who have never experienced intimacy with Christ; the lost. Even they love Him, just because of His name, because He is the anointed one.
Philippians 2:11 "Every knee will bow and every tongue will confess Him as Lord" (paraphrased).

Song of Songs 1:4 "Draw me away! We will run after you."

The Bride's cry for intimacy. Also, there is something about Christ that is amazing. The more He draws us to Him, the more we want to run after Him (most of the time). Remember that last time He pricked your heart, and you were like, Oh, Lord, I must know you more, and you ran after Him. Or the last time your significant other did something romantic out of their heart for you. Didn't that make you want to run after them. When Christ draws us, then we seek Him. Actually, we can't seek Him, until He draws us.

"Although we have the desire and the willingness to pursue after Him, we cannot help but feel a lack of strength for the pursuit. This strength for the pursuit is not a mighty power from the Spirit that is given to us once for all. Rather, the Lord's own beauty and glory draws us. His drawing power is our pursuing power. If the Lord has truly drawn us, it is very easy for us to pursue after Him." -Watchman Nee (The Song of Songs: A Divine Romance between God and Man)

Song of Songs 1:4 (second part) "The King has brought me into His chambers."

Just like verse 3, she recognizes Him as the King. Also, we didn't just go into His chambers, He must bring us there. Also, He won't bring us there until we are ready. The inner chambers is a true place of intimacy. A place of nakedness and complete openness. Until we are ready for the Lord to see us completely naked, and unashamed, I don't believe He will bring us into that place. We can't cover ourselves like Adam and Eve did after their sin. We must be willing to stand naked regardless of our sin. Than Christ can begin that work to, not COVER our sin, but REMOVE our sin.

Until we are ready to stand naked and unashamed before Him, I don't believe we will experience intimacy. There are no secrets in intimacy.

Song of Songs 1:4 (third part) "We will be glad and rejoice in you. We will remember your love more than wine. Rightly do they love you."

This is a third "character" in this book. It is the daughters of Jerusalem. They obviously aren't the Bride, so I believe they are those who have been around church, or around Christians. They converse a lot with the Bride, so they could represent the many people who know us, but aren't Christians. In a way, they have experienced Christ, through us. They can see that His love for us, the Bride, is better than wine, and won't forget that.

I believe this is true. People at work come up to me and say, You're a Christian aren't you? They notice something different about me. People you are around should notice something different about you. And most of the time, even if they don't admit it, they like it. Otherwise, you wouldn't be the first one they come talk to when they are having problems at home, or when a loved one is diagnosed with cancer. People look up to you, not because of you, but because of Christ in you.

Well, we got through verse four today. I really want us to remember that this is Christ speaking to us. Also, we must be willing to stand unashamed and naked before we can enter into an intimate relationship with Christ. Than He can begin a work in us. Another thing, remember that those around you are watching. They experience Christ's love through you.

God Bless.

Picture into 3D Video

So, I just finished a tutorial off of videocopilot.net and it taught me how to make a still photo into a 3D Video. The picture I used (Trey and myself - many moons ago) wasn't the greatest because it has a low resolution, but I liked it. I'll definitely use this know-how in the future. God Bless.

The Bride of Christ

I am a graduate from Conversion School of Ministry in Florence, Alabama. While I was there, I went through a class that walked us through the book, Song of Solomon. It is truly fascinating to look at the similarities between a man and wife and Christ and the Church. A lot of people get the simple things, but even down to the smallest or even most intimate attributes of marriage can be related back to our relationship with Christ.

My wife and I have been married for a little over a year now, and I've learned a lot. I've learned how little like Christ I actually am. He told us to love our wives like He loves the Church...WOW. Let's just say I'm glad I'm not Jesus, cause that's hard. But I'm trying to everyday, because I do truly love my wife (she's the best). So, I'll be sharing my thoughts here and there about that relationship with Christ. (WARNING: Subject Matter may be sensitive to little one's ears!(or, eyes, I guess))

Song of Songs 1:1 "The song of songs, which is Solomon's."

First off, the writer, Solomon, wanted this book to be personal. He wanted others to relate to it, otherwise, he wouldn't have claimed it personally his. So, for the rest of the book, we can personally relate to it and the truths that lie within.

Secondly, the name Solomon, actually means, "Prince of Peace".

WOW!

This love song is written by the Prince of Peace to his bride. This my friends, is no accident. The Holy Spirit knows whats up. Every detail in the Old Testament that testifies of Jesus Christ is God-directed. Just in this one verse, God has put so much power in it.

This first verse is telling the us, the reader, the bride of Chirst, that this whole book is written by the Prince of Peace Himself and it is written directly to His bride, us. This is one of those High School sappy love letters, only it is from the biggest lover ever. So, I hope we understand that this book is more than some romantic letter from Solomon to a woman. It is a direct love letter from Jesus Christ to His Bride.

Song of Songs 1:2 "Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth - For your love is better than wine."

This is the bride expressing her desire for intimacy with the groom. She says, your love is better than wine. This shows that she has already experienced His love at least once before. Also, it shows she has already experienced the effects of wine. In this one verse, the Bride shows that she's experienced the world, but it does not compare to the love she has shared with the groom.

Isn't that so true. What we have with Jesus Christ is so much greater than anything we have ever had before.

If you notice, the Bride never mentions a name. This is because there is no one else but her Beloved. There is no other option or any other man. He is the only one for her.

She says let HIM kiss ME. Her experience with Him was because He showed His love towards her first. She didn't make the first move, He did. We cannot love Christ until He has loved us first.

I know this is only two verses, but just in these two verses we have learned so much. I hope you understand this to it's fullest. This is a love song from Christ Himself, to you, the Bride. He has loved us before we knew what love was, and it swept us off our feet. Now, after experiencing His love, there is nothing that compares. He is now our One and Only.

God Bless.
